- Fasten the jacket while standing: Look for strong tension around the button and lapels that lift away from your chest.
- Walk and bend your knees: The trousers should move comfortably without catching tightly at the calves.
- Check your layers: Make sure shirt sleeves and knitwear do not bunch beneath the jacket.
If one area feels wrong, compare another size or cut before assuming alterations will solve it. Ask which adjustments are practical for that particular garment.

A soft jacket can be useful for client lunches, business-casual offices and dinners where you want more structure than a sweater. For travel, consider comfort while seated, garment weight and care requirements before choosing a piece.
A stretch suit can also suit professional occasions when its colour, finish and construction match the setting. Comfort-focused tailoring still needs to respect the dress code; a casual jersey jacket is not a substitute for black-tie clothing.
